Questions preceptors ask
Anything else, ask us on the contact page, or apply and your recruitment manager will reach out.
Can I precept in person or virtually?
How much time does it take?
In person, the days you choose. Virtually, minutes a week: you review and sign off your student’s hours, and our team runs the mentorship sessions, agreements and paperwork.
When do I meet my student?
Once we have a student who fits your specialty and where you practice, we set up a short call so you can both see it’s a good fit. You decide after that call.
How do I get paid?
You set your rate within our network’s range for your specialty, and you see it before you accept a student. Pay comes per block of hours, and a block’s length follows your student’s program. How pay works
What happens after I apply?
Your recruitment manager reaches out by text or email with your link to create your account. It takes about a minute.
Who handles the paperwork?
We do: the affiliation agreement, the school’s forms, the evaluations and, for virtual precepting, the mentorship sessions. What we handle
Do you check my license?
Yes. We check every preceptor’s license with the state board before a student meets them, and again whenever the license number changes.
Which specialties do you match?
Nurse practitioners in every population, nurse midwives, DNP and MSN, counseling, social work, behavior analysis and physician assistants. All specialties
Can I precept in more than one state?
Yes. Add every state where you hold a license to your profile, and we match you in each.
Does my facility need to sign anything?
Usually the school needs an affiliation agreement with your facility. We prepare it and send it to whoever signs for your site.
I forgot my password.
Ask your recruitment manager, and they will get you back in.
Where do I sign in?
On the sign-in page, with your login email and password.
